Yves brought her first ever solo tour to Chicago’s Copernicus Center, a space that has recently been made famous for hosting K-Pop concerts.

The performer, known originally for performing with the iconic Loona, debuted solo just last year (2024) with her track “LOOP (feat. Lil Cherry).” Since then, the singer has released the album LOOP of the same name, and her second album I Did, with a deluxe album releasing just in time for the North American leg of tour.

The tour, dubbed the “Apple Cinnamon Crunch” tour, deparated in December with stops in Germany, Poland, England, France, and Italy. The Chicago stop took place just four shows into the North American leg, after Yves performed in Canada and NYC, with fansigns for lucky Ehngdu in New York. Yves’ return to Chicago was heavily anticipated, as the artist hadn’t been to the city since touring with Loona in 2022.

The “Apple Cinnamon Crunch” tour was a huge treat for fans new and old. The audience was flooded with both Orbit and Orchard bongs, representative of both Loona and Yves as a soloist. One fan even brought the lightsticks for all of Loona’s artists: Artms, Loosemble, Chuu, Yves, and of course the Loona lightstick.

The stage opened with her debut “LOOP,” bringing out dancers for the high energy performance. After the upbeat “LOOP” Yves played a mix of tracks off both LOOP and I Did, showing off her versatility through her indie-pop-esc tracks “Tik Tok” and “Gone Girl.” Yves also wanted to show a piece of herself, performing covers of music she had been listening to lately - including Madison Beer, Avril Lavigne and Vanessa Carlton. The first stage ended with “Goldfish,” a track dedicated to her fanbase about how she would always be there to support them.

Between stages, Yves welcomed a special guest artist by the name of blah, who also acts as a member of Yves’ production team. The upcoming artists style complimented Yves’ music perfectly, blending the pop sound with a slower paced R&B.

The second stage opened with “Hashtag” and “Viola,” fan favorites and title tracks from I Did. The Y2K tracks show off a different side of Yves, while “LOOP” plays into the club aesthetic, both “Hashtag” and “Viola” play more into a more sultry side of the Y2K aesthetic, reminiscent of Britney Spears, with impressive chairography to accompany the tracks.

The concert ended with an encore of “LOOP,” bringing the dancers back out but stripping down the choreography to get fans dancing with her. Yves was able to turn the Copernicus Center into a club, with every single fan off their feet - jumping and dancing.

Tour finished off its nine stop run in Washington. Through her shows, Yves was able to greet old fans, and introduce new ones to her talents, unique music style, and one of a kind perspective. For fans of Y2K music and even hype-pop aficionados, Yves is one to watch out for, as the “Apple Cinnamon Crunch” tour was just the beginning.
