Why Not in Chicago
Why Not, a Minneapolis-based trio, concluded their opening run on Raffaella’s Live, Raff, LIVE! tour in Chicago, IL on March 2, 2024. From their math rock and punk beginnings, the group has shifted their musical sound to encompass a wide range of rock influences. Henry Breen (vocals/bass), Isaac Dell (guitar), and Joshua MacGregor (drums) took the stage with a confident presence and that showed they were ready to have a good time.
Their set was short but filled with energy. Besides the drummer – for obvious reasons – the band was bouncing across the stage, while singing and perfectly playing their respective instruments. They shared smiles with the crowd and with one another, clearly proving they feel the most at home on stage.
Meeting in middle school, it’s obvious to see the connection these three have together. It’s noted that they booked their first tour before any of them could even drive and relied on Dell’s father to drive them from show to show. Luckily, times have changed and the world is able to see more of Why Not. Even though Why Not has completed their run with Raffaella, they mentioned that they would definitely be back! Keep an eye on their social media for future shows and upcoming releases.
