Charleton Howard, The Kid Laroi, is a young rapper with Columbia Records who has risen from the bottom to the top with his hard work as a musician and artist. Laroi is most known for his uprising hit “Without You” and “Addison Rae” to later be mentored by Justin Bieber in their collaboration of “Stay”. Laroi’s most recent album The First Time gleamed his artistry to a whole new level compared to his other work.
Laroi lyrically manages to embrace his protective piece to all the ways “her” ex did “her” wrong. The subject on who the song is officially about is a speculated topic. Fans adore the fact that this passionate proclamation is in honor of his newly debuted relationship with girlfriend Tate McRae who publicly became a match early 2024. The lyrics, “Fuck your ex man, I’m the man now, think I feel bad, he was fanned out”, have been driving fans crazy for months of promotional teasing.
