Rebecca Black, Mexican American pop artist, released her new single “TRUST!” which is a promisingly dance-worthy anthem with hints of freedom for listeners to thrive to. 

Rebecca Black emerged into the industry light with her first single “Friday” released in 2011, which stands as a memorable hit from the 2010s. Later on in her career, Black came back with her first EP, Rebecca Black Was Here, along with some singles. Black’s first album was released in 2023 titled Let Her Burn which is a mix of beautiful and power songs, really portraying her outstanding artistry aside from her fun hit “Friday.” She’s created a packed discography for herself, dissolving herself as a one hit wonder and now an artist who can do it all. Rebecca Black is back and better than ever with her new single “TRUST!” which in my opinion is her newest and best sound yet and will be easily attractive to audiences and fans.

“TRUST!” is a release full of fun and party energy. The song’s rave-like beat radiates the ultimate “party girl” vibes for any listener. One of my favorite sections of this song is included in the bridge:

These lyrics give me so much life because of the confidence behind her mellow yet scandalous way of voice. It’s exciting to have a song where it’s definitely the opposite of innocent lyrically to where you can dance to the music and not even have to relate. “TRUST!” is a poster song for fun and spicy listen for anyone who needs an applaudable upbeat track.

Rebecca Black shows off her inviting intentions with these somewhat seductive lyrics. “TRUST!” is about trust in a romantic way. As a woman herself, letting her partner know that she can handle anything such as secrets and them, it leaves room for fantasy on other things that can be included in the theme. 

As a listener and fan, I am obsessed with the overall feeling of this song. I love the volumes of different sounds with her voice such as whispery in the pre-chorus, electronics in the chorus, and keeping it all to where it sounds perfect together. For anyone who hasn’t listened yet or needs a fresh sound to add to their daily dose, I would recommend “TRUST!” by Rebecca Black.
