As a listener, I am absolutely swooning with this song’s electricity as it flickers through my speakers. I lean on favoriting the chorus out of the whole song. The sound gives off late 2000’s to early 2010’s music industry feelings. The repetitive lyrics that the audience receives catchiness is
I'm in the back of the, back of the club
Bass go ba-rump-pump-pum
Bass gonna do what the bass always does
Chew on my waist like bubblegum
Hit, hit, pop it, ride
Sugar water, cyanide
Let the taste slip inside
Holding on for my life
I'm in the back of the, back of the club
Bass go ba-rump-pump-pum
Bass gonna do what the bass always does
Chew on my waist like bubblegum
Hit, hit, pop it, ride
Sugar water, cyanide

Holding on for my life
Flirtation is a subtle message behind the rowdy, party beat. Black’s expressions like “Black coffee in the morning hit, hit without a warning” is satisfying to me. Black uses connecting coffee which is an addictive intake to someone she’s taken interest in to make a creative analogy for listeners to digest. It’s interesting, intricate, and entertaining.
This fast and seductive single is easy to obsess over. The song makes me want to get up, get active, and party like it’s the end of the world. Rebecca Black’s music is paving her way into the world of glitter floors, raving lights, and crowds singing every word.
To start the new year off right, Rebecca Black will be releasing a new album, SALVATION, releasing January 17, 2025. This album is hyped to have an alluring and chaotic energy with seven new and exciting tracks including released singles ”TRUST!” and “Sugar Water Cyanide”.
