Patrick Murphy, an artist from Minnesota living in Nashville, performed an opening set the style I haven’t seen in quite some time. Breaking the wall between the listeners and the performer, he talked about how he was a fan of the headliner, The Script, and talked about light on tour and performing. He talked about humble beginnings in Nashville, where he didn’t know what songwriting and how grateful he is to be there. Murphy made sure to give an introduction to many of his songs because many came with a backstory.  His traditional style opener set was refreshing and a great way to start off the evening.
