P1Harmony in Chicago

K-Pop boyband P1Harmony brought their Utop1a tour to Chicago, playing their first arena show of the US leg at Credit Union 1 arena in the west loop.

Their newest stage-show incorporates 20+ songs from their expansive discography - opening with three fan favorites from their newest album/comeback “Killin’ It.” The boys came out in full-force, showing off their live-vocals, impeccable dance skills, and unbroken stamina. Member Theo even teasing his guitar skills, shredding over the second song of the night “Emergency.”

Midway through the set each member of “Piwon” performed a solo stage, in which they showed off their individual talents. Members Theo and Keeho covered popular western songs - Theo accompanying himself on guitar for Until I Found You by Stephen Sanchez and Keeho showing off his runs on Kill Bill by SZA. Maknae (youngest), and main rapper Jungseob rapped his version of Praise The Lord by A$AP Rocky. Both Soul and Intak chose to show off their dancing - Soul freestyling and Intak doing belt choreography as popularized by the TikTok trend to DPR Ian’s track Don’t Go Insane.

During VCR, there was also a message presented from absent member Jiung, who has had to take a hiatus from tour due to injury. Fans were excited to hear the message, cheering  when his video came on screen and continuing to show their support by holding up their pickets and some even bringing cardboard cutouts.

The boys all came back together to finish the show as a group, performing even more fan-favorites and title tracks, “closing” with Countdown to Love, another hit from “Killin’ It.”  That was until, moments later, each member started coming down the aisles of the arena through the audience to perform their encore. While performing their newest single off “Killin’ It,” I See U, the members of Piwon made their way through the audience back to the stage, interacting with fans in various ways - taking photos, picking up props, and dancing with them at the barricade.

Utop1a was a night to remember for Chicago P1ece. Not only did P1Harmony put on a more than stellar performance, but they created memories to last fans forever. Keeho even teased they’ll be back very soon, bigger and better than ever.
