Holly Humberstone in Linconshire

Holly is a native to Lincolnshire who at 20 moved to the England capital , London. Holly came back to Lincolnshire during lockdown to be with her family where she wrote her newest album Paint My Bedroom Black, using her experiences from London.

Paint My Bedroom Black involves bangers like “Ghost Me” , “Cocoon” and “Elvis Impersonators”. Her album sounds melodious on Spotify but it’s another experience hearing the album live. Holly kicked off her show with a bang! Starting off with her lead single, “Paint My Bedroom Black”. Her insane stage presence set the energy for the night  radiating towards the crowd , everyone was on their feet dancing to the beat of Lauren’s heart thumping pounds on the drums and Holly’s incredible vocals.

Holly showed her range of music ability as she played the guitar , bass and piano evoking soulful emotions throughout her show. Holly began “Friendly Fire” acoustically before she quickly switched to the bass and turned the song into a rock tune. If I could describe Holly in one word it would be gifted. The transition from acoustic to rock was as smooth as the clouds in the sky.

Holly’s appreciation for her opener Medium Build exclaimed as he shared the stage with Holly to sing her hit song “Cocoon”. She later promoted Medium Build’s new album which I am sure will be just as incredible as his voice on stage.

As it was Mother’s Day in the UK Holly was thankful that her parents and grandma were in the crowd stating it was “extra special to have her here”. The humble artist also thanked the fans for being with her and showed her gratitude to be able to perform in her “hometown”. At the end of the show my fellow photographers were able to make Holly aware of a little girl in the crowd who wanted to give Holly a letter. After the show the two of them both shared a special moment, one the little girl will never forget.
