Haley Heynderickx In New York

Last week, Oregon-based singer-songwriter Haley Heyndrickx wrapped up a three month long tour at a sold out show at Music Hall of Williamsburg in Brooklyn, New York.

Haley released her debut album titled I Need to Start a Garden in 2018 and her sophomore record, Seed of a Seed, earlier this month. Written during the COVID-19 pandemic, Seed of a Seed explores topics such as existentialism, overconsumption, and consumerism in the modern-day world. Haley’s concert in New York brought these songs to life and captured all of her emotions in an intimate and cozy atmosphere. Haley was also accompanied by a full band that introduced themselves with fun facts after the first few songs of the set.

Haley’s dedication to and passion for her craft was evident throughout the night. Much to the crowd’s delight, Haley played most of her new album, as well as fan favorites like “The Bug Collector,” “No Face,” and “Oom Sha La La.” Haley’s ability to replicate her studio vocals and instrumentals perfectly with her bandmates was impressive, and fans excitedly sang along during the more upbeat tracks of the night.  At the end of the set, Haley thanked the audience for coming and expressed excitement at her fall tour coming to an end after a successful run across the United States. If you haven’t seen Haley live yet, this is your sign to do so on her next tour!
