Florist in Pittsburgh

The upstate New York Band, Florist, just finished their fall 2024 tour out in Buffalo, New York.  They played a sold out show at the Bottlerocket in Pittsburgh this past Friday.  Though it was a packed house, the crowd was silent and listening to Florist’s quiet and heartfelt music.  They played songs old and new.  They sang of mortality, love and beauty, which matched their sound.  A fan could sit in the audience and feel like they are floating through the music.  Another specific aspect about their performance was they were sitting the whole time.  Florist had the folks at Bottlerocket put themselves up on the TV above the stage so the people in the back could see what was happening; however, they mainly were focusing on the music.  Their lyricism and sound leaves you with a sense that you need to do something with that feeling, even if you are not able to place it.
