Flora Cash’s “Holy Water” Channels Love in a New Way
Article by Isabel Dowell
Swedish-born, musical duo Flora Cash recently released a new single, “Holy Water”, and an absolutely beautiful accompanying music video. If you aren’t already acquainted with their romantic narratives, Flora Cash is made up of Shpresa Lleshaj and Cole Randall. The two – an epitome of love, resilience, and artistic triumph – have back stories that beat all odds. Rather than let the world tear them down, Lleshaj and Randall joined forces in 2012, married in 2013, and continue to forge a path of not only creativity and growth, but courage and strength that can be felt through their music a decade later.
The band shares, “With 'Holy Water', we wanted to explore the idea of love as something greater than just a feeling; a powerful force that brings people together in unseen, sometimes mystical ways.”
“Holy Water” begins with the deeply emotional sounds of a viola when suddenly Lleshaj’s vocals move the track towards an ethereal peak. The partnered visual provides an even deeper glance into the tangible connection you feel from this track. Once the song reaches its end, you’re left begging for more - emotionally and physically. The power of Flora Cash radiates throughout each note of “Holy Water” and its mournful, heartbreaking aura will cut a hole right out of your heart. For an even bigger impact, we recommend listening to the piano and strings version. Trust us.
As it’s noted, “Their story illustrates the possibilities within us all, enriching the world with sincerity, artistry, and love's transformative power”, and we couldn’t have said it any better ourselves.
