The 24-year-old R&B artist opened up his ‘Submissive’ tour with ‘MARIPOSA’, the first track off his Submissive album. This song set the tone for the night as its Latin-inspired sounds and energy allowed the audience to dance and move while feeling the vulnerability in Destin’s lyrics.

The transition between ‘MARIPOSA’ and ‘OFF DAT SHIT (FREESTYLE)’ was, to say the least, seamless The Opera House was screaming at the top of their lungs to Destin’s flow and style and he solidified the fact that although it was his first tour and time in Toronto, he was here to stay!

Destin connected with the audience the whole show as he talked about the meanings behind some of his songs. As he opened up one of his most famous songs, ‘BILL$’, he talked about his relationship experience while being young and broke and how this experience inspired this song. This story allowed the crowd to laugh with Destin while thinking about their own similar experiences.

During their song “All for You” Destin Conrad and Amaria serenaded the Opera House with their soft and velvety vocal duet. The crowd was excited to have Amaria on stage one last time, having been impressed by her beautiful opening act before Destin’s Performance.

In the end, Destin thanked the Crowd for coming and his fans basked in such a memorable experience. Performing solo for the first time in Toronto at the Opera House was one for the books, and I know that whatever Destin announces as his next project/tour will be bigger and better than this one!
