BM in Chicago
Big Matthew AKA BM brought his first solo tour “After The After Party” to the Vic Theatre in Chicago to a packed crowd full of stans.
Matt is known for being a member of the K-Pop four-piece KARD, but began his solo endeavors back in 2021. The multi talent produces and writes his own music, expressing his creativity through more venereal concepts uncommon to the k-pop genre - and pushing the bounds of what it means to be a k-pop idol.
The whole cosncept for the “ATAP” Tour was for the shows in each city to be a place to party and connect with Matt and other “Hidden Kard.” Each show was/is 21+ and the events are completely phoneless. This not only allows for the element of surprise in each city but ensuring that audiences are enjoying the moment!
The party also had two opening acts, which is uncommon for a typical k-pop show. LA based R&B artists Uzuhan and Sunkis hyped up the audience showing off their dance skills and playing a mix of their original songs and covers.
The energy was at level 100 as soon as BM began his set. The powerhouse showed off his moves, vocals, and impeccable stage presence throughout the night, performing a mix of solo songs both brand new and old, as well as taking us through some of his collaborations. Matt also engaged the audience is numerous ways, but those details are to be revealed to future audience members themselves!
The After The After Party tour is a can’t miss for both k-pop fans and rap fans alike. BM curating an exceptional vibe for dancing, connecting, and partying.
